:: The Objective of Short Courses

The College organizes regular short courses around 6-8 times per year as part of our continuing education services to the public. These courses, which are generally 2-3 days in duration, mostly deal with topics related to the petroleum, petrochemical, and plastics industries. Many of these courses, when given by our visiting professors, are the same as those offered by the same professors in places all over the world, including the U.S., Europe and Japan . These courses also attract participants from leading companies in the region. Since 1993, more than 1,500 participants from almost 1,000 companies have attended short courses at the College. One added benefit of having these short courses is that it helps to foster closer ties between the College and the industrial sector from which other collaborations may be developed.
