| Quality assurance is no doubt the way to attain high quality with international recognition. Chulalongkorn University was well aware of the need to attain the quality standard set by the Ministry of University Affairs (MUA). Indeed the University went beyond the requirements of MUA and introduced five more sets of standards of its own in addition to the nine items set by MUA to emphasize ethics and moral conduct and development to wards excellence. Thus the quality standard CU-QA 84 was introduced in 2001 at the celebration of Chulalongkorn University's 84th Anniversary. The College first embarked on the process to attain the quality assurance in january,2001 with a Self Study Report (SSR) followed by the development of the College's Quality Manual. The College was finally audited by an internal committee appointed by the University in December,2002 and was able to pass the audit with no Corrective Action Request (CARS).On March 27,2003,the Director, on behalf of the College,received the Certificate of Attainment of CU-QA 84.1 from the president of the University. The College is now ready to receive inspection fromthe Office for Natinal Education Standards and Quality Assessment, the country's agency for quality certification of academic institutions, at the end of 2003. |
